Co-captain and one of the heroes of the 1999 national championship team, Ricky Moore will go down as one of the greatest defensive guards in UConn history. Moore took ferocious pride in his defense, and often shut down the best player on the opposing team.

He also knew how to run a team, finishing his UConn career with 510 assists, which ties him with Marcus Williams for sixth all-time. But Moore’s impact on the Huskies was his shut-down ‘D,’ and without it, Connecticut never reaches the title game in ’99.
