Newtown baseball star Mike Davis has committed to Quinnipiac.
The 6-5 right handed pitcher and first baseman helped lead Newtown to the Greater New Haven League title this past fall.
As a sophomore at Newtown, Mike pitched and played first base for a Nighthawks team that went 18-7 and won the Southwest conference championship. That season he won 5 games, threw a no-hitter and batted .422.
“I chose Quinnipiac because it had everything I was looking for in both a school and baseball program,” Mike said. “I am really excited to be part of a growing baseball program with coach Delaney, and hope we can do for baseball what they have done for hockey and basketball.”
