50 Greatest Players in UConn men’s basketball history: 50-1

CORNY THOMPSON28. Corny Thompson (1978-82) 6-7, F . A four-year starter from 1978-82, Corny Thompson was a terrific frontcourt player and sturdy scorer for the Huskies.

He ranks fifth on UConn’s all-time career scoring list, having put up 1,810 points. The Middletown native was one of the first great in-state players to commit to UConn in the Dee Rowe era, and helped lead the Huskies to postseason appearances in all four of his years.
