50 Greatest Players in UConn men’s basketball history: 50-1

TALIEK BROWN17. Taliek Brown (2000-04) 6-1, G. The fearless leader of the 2004 national championship team, Brown holds the Huskies’ career assists record, having dished out 722 in his time at Storrs. He also ranks third in assists per game (5.4 per), and holds the record for most double-figure assist games with 13.

Like Ricky Moore, who played the point on UConn’s 1999 championship team, Brown was a terrific floor general and great defender.

Huskies fans might remember his bank shot as the shot clock expired in overtime of the 2004 Big East championship against Pittsburgh.
