Northern Junior Golf Championships held at New Haven Country Club

For young golfers 19 and under and not yet in college, there was a big competition at the New Haven Country Club.

The Northern Junior Championship was held for the first time ever in New Haven.

A 36 hole event started on Tuesday and ended Wednesday.

The boys championship was hotly contested.

Headed into the last hole five guys tied for the lead.

Cheshire’s Chris Simione one of them just misses a long birdie putt on the 18th.

Will Bernstein, who is about to become a Yale golfer playing in his last Junior tournament, knocked down a 10 foot putt for birdie, and he wins the championship.

Wins it at 1 under.
