STORRS, Conn. (WTNH)–It’s a short work week for the UConn Football team, as the Huskies will play Friday night against South Florida down in Tampa.

Friday night’s game against the Bulls is the first conference game of the year for the Huskies. They went 1-2 in nonconference games against BYU, Stony Brook and Boise State.

Head coach Bob Diaco said the team treated that first quarter of the schedule almost like preseason games to prepare for the conference schedule.

Kickoff on Friday night is set for 8 o’clock.
