Rodney PurvisSTORRS, Conn. (WTNH)–UConn says guard Rodney Purvis is probable for Sunday’s game against No. 7 Texas after being diagnosed with a left ankle sprain.

The school said that no x-ray was necessary, and that the sophomore is responding well to treatment. Purvis likely won’t practice on Thursday, however.

The transfer guard originally twisted the ankle going up for a layup in the Huskies’ loss to West Virginia on Sunday.

There was no update on suspended Huskies Omar Calhoun, Rakim Lubin and walk-ons Dan Guest and Marcel Lewis, who were out for the West Virginia game due to “a violation of team rules.” Calhoun has been out since October 26, with a left knee sprain.
