UConn men prepare for streaking Temple on New Year’s Eve

Both UConn basketball teams are getting ready for New Years Eve day games. Geno Auriemma’s ladies are in North Carolina to play East Carolina at 2:30p.m. The Huskies are coming off last nights blowout win against #10 Duke..

Meanwhile, Kevin Ollie’s team spent the afternoon in Hartford getting ready for Wednesday’s 1 p.m. game with Temple. It’s the conference opener for Connecticut, which was the pre-season pick to win it all in the American Athletic Conference.

Is this team starting to gel?

“Yeah, we’re definitely getting better than we were in the first few games,” said senior guard Ryan Boatright. “We’ve got some room [to grow], and all we can do is play every day.”

“Temple is a good team, playing very well, has won their last three games and has a nice RPI, so that would be a very good win for us.”
