Yale lacrosse cracks top 10 in national rankings

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Fresh off a historic 10-6 victory over then-No.7 Maryland, the Yale University men’s lacrosse team is ranked in the top 10 of both national polls.

Yale moved up six spots to No. 8 in the latest Cascade/Maverik Media Poll and nine spots to No. 7 in the USILA Coaches’ Poll.

The Bulldogs, ranked in the top 10 for the first time since March of 2014, defeated the Terps for the first time since 1925 on Feb. 21.

Yale (2-0, 0-0 Ivy League), one of five Ivy League programs ranked in the Top 20, looks to get off to its first 3-0 start since the 2011 season vs. Bryant on Feb. 28. The non-conference game is set to begin at 1:00p.m.
