(WTNH)–The last time we saw the Yale football team was back in November when they lost to Harvard in a classic edition of “The Game.” Now, the Bulldogs are now focused on the 2015 season.
Head coach Tony Reno is getting ready for his fourth year running the show. His high-powered Bulldogs offense will need to replace some big-time players who are graduating next month.
But so far this spring, several younger players seem to be answering the challenge. Senior Quarterback Morgan Roberts seems to think so.
“That’s why I’m so excited,” he said. “These young guys have worked so hard to assume these roles, replacing Deon, replacing Tyler Varga. We’ve got a stack of receivers that are young but incredibly talented, and I would be shocked to see if they didn’t produce just as efficiently as the guys from last year did.”
“We’ve got a lot of talent. The key is, can the talent continue to develop and become guys who can make plays in games,” said head coach Tony Reno. “We feel we’ve got a good group of guys and we’re improving. So we’ll see what we can do.”
Yale will play its spring game at the Bowl on Saturday at 1.
