Eric Mangini holds high school football camp in Hartford

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Eric Mangini put on a football fundamentals camp at his high school, Bulkeley High in Hartford, on Saturday, as he does every year.

The coach always shows up to lead the hundreds of campers, and he brings plenty of volunteers too.

“It started with 232 campers, and 14 years in we’re averaging about 700 to 800 campers a year. We’ve had over 8,000 go through it now” he said. “It gets more and more special for me, coming back here each year.”

Mangini shared his wealth of knowledge with area kids. The former Bulkeley linebacker runs the camp each year.
