(WTNH)–UConn football has its first commitment for the Class of 2016, which is both great news and somewhat embarassing, seeing as how the Huskies were one of the few schools without a recruit until Wednesday.
Donovan Williams, a quarterback from Woodbridge, Virginia, will join UConn in 2016, according to TheUConnBlog.com.
He had originally verbally committed to James Madison, a powerhouse FCS school in Virginia.
According to The UConn Blog, Williams also had offers from Fordham, Delaware, William and Mary, and Richmond, which are all FCS schools.
