(WTNH)–Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver Dez Bryant tweets that he will hold out of training camp, and possibly further, unless he gets a new long-term deal done with the team by the July 15th deadline.

Bryant was frachise tagged in March, and the two sides have not yet been able to reach an agreement on a new deal.

This is big news as the 26-year-old is one of the best receivers in the game and an important piece to the Cowboys offense. The team will need Bryant on the field if they look to have the same success this year as they did last year.

In 2014, Bryant led the league with 16 touchdown grabs. He also led Dallas in receptions and receiving yards last season. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
