Greater Hartford Pro-Am back in Hartford this year

(WTNH)–It’s hard to believe, but it’s year 18 already of the Greater Hartford Pro-Am.

Players from area colleges, the NBA and some European leagues all play in this very competitive league.

The league is back in Hartford this year after two years at Crosby High School in Waterbury.

Tonight, the early game featured the Philly Subs of Norwich versus Attorney Deron Freeman.

Elijah Pemberton, who used to play for Xavier, and now for the Philly Subs team, had 35 points tonight.

Ryan Vilmont had nine three-pointers– four in the first quarter. He finished with 38 points to lead the Freeman team.

This game was never really close. Attorney Deron Freeman wins it 141 to 102.

Organizers are glad to be back in the Capitol City.

More games are scheduled for Wednesday night in Hartford at the Sport Sciences Academy. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
