HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)–You never know who you might see play on a nightly basis at the Greater Hartford Pro-Am basketball league.
On Monday night, it was UConn center Amida Brimah. The big man says he’s added on about 15 pounds. He played big, coming up with a triple double.
The Husky big man is surronded by talent, like Hartford’s Dontoe Gittens, who plays his ball a Franklin Pierce.
Doug Wiggins also suits up for T-E-B. He just finished up playing in Portugal. Wiggins was that MVP, averaging 30 points and putting up 8 rebounds per game.
Brimah was a force on both ends on Monday. He blocked 15 shots, and also grabbded 12 rebounds and scored 24 points.
His team won– 98-92.
Brimah knows he’s going to take everyone’s best shot.
The league is back in action on Wednesday.
