UConn men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie hosts charity golf event

(WTNH)–UConn basketball head coach Kevin Ollie has been working hard recruiting for future UConn teams. But today, Ollie was busy raising money for people with disabilities.

It’s the Kevin Ollie charity golf classic. Money raised from this tournament underwrite competitions for athletes with disabilities.

Ollie is also working to build Kevin’s Courts, which are inclusive basketball courts around the state.

“That’s why we were put on this earth– to contribute and give back when you can,” UConn men’s basketball coach Kevin Ollie said. “For me to give back and be around some of my great teammates, everybody coming together, makes it that much more special for me.”

Ray Allen, Rudy Johnson and lots of other former Huskies enjoyed the day.
