Southern Connecticut State’s Carlif Taylor signed by Dallas Cowboys


NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Former Southern Connecticut State University captain Carlif Taylor has been signed by the Dallas Cowboys. Taylor spent the original part of preseason camp with the New York Giants and played in the team’s first preseason game.

A team captain as a senior last fall, Taylor earned Don Hansen’s Football Gazette All-Region and All-Conference honors. He also played in the National Bowl Game at the conclusion of the year.

A two-time All-Northeast-10 Conference selection, Taylor posted a career-high 73 tackles to rank third on the team in that department last year. Taylor also notched 11 tackles for loss. He was a USA College Football All-America selection as a junior.
