New crop of playmakers making difference for Yale offense

(WTNH)–The Yale football team lost some pretty big names on the offensive side of the ball this year. Former running back Tyler Varga is playing on Sundays for the Indianapolis Colts.

Coming into this season, the Bulldogs wondered who would step up on offense. It turns out several players ended up playing well in last week’s come-from-behind win over Colgate.

The offense scored 29 points–the coaching staff said they could have scored 45.

Now, the goal is just to get better every week.

Kickoff for towmorrow at the Bowl is set for 1:00 p.m. If you’re going, give yourself plenty of time to get to the game because of the ‘Q’ Bridge delays. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
