NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior guard Michael Mallory (Waterbury, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team has been named a preseason All-American by The Basketball Times.

This is the second publication that has lauded Mallory in the preseason, joining The Sporting News.

Mallory is coming off a sophomore season in which he collected Third-Team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors. He finished second on the team and eighth in the league with 18.3 points per game. Along the way, Mallory set a new SCSU program single-season record with 90 made three-pointers. He also went over the 1,000 point mark for his career in a February game against Pace.

As a freshman, Mallory was selected to the All-Freshman Team by the Division II Bulletin and was named as both the ECAC and the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Year.
