Record-breaking QB Mike Collins leads New Canaan into Class L championship game

(WTNH)–We can’t imagine there will be a lack of scoring in the Class L title game between North Haen and New Canaan on Saturday.

North Haven’s Mike Montano and his offensive mates make up a touchdown machine. Their opponent, New Canaan, can light up the scoreboard as well.

In fact, New Canaan’s quarterback, Mike Collins, just set the state record for touchdown passes with 53. He threw six in the Rams’ semifinal smackdown of Notre Dame-West Haven.

Collins is heading to Penn to play football next season. The Rams like to throw the ball, and Collins has a way of carving up defenses with his precision passes and sure-handed receivers.
