Walter Camp Weekend kicks off with Stay-in-School rally in New Haven

(WTNH)–Walter Camp Football Weekend is here, and the All-Americans are trickling in, with everything leading up to Saturday’s black-tie affair at the Yale Commons.

On Thursday morning, hundreds of eighth graders from the area took part in the Stay-in-School rally at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.

News 8’s Ann Nyberg hosts the event. Each year, a different NFL mascot gets the kids’ attention. This year, it was Freddy the Falcon, who set the kids up to hear the important messsages from the likes of Yale basketball coach James Jones and former NFL player David Fulcher.
