Yale ready to put last season’s heartbreak behind them, start Ivy League play

(WTNH)–This is the weekend the Yale basketball team has been waiting for. It’s the start of Ivy League play, as the Bulldogs host Brown on Saturday. They say they’ve put last year’s disappointing finish behing them, but they haven’t forgotten how it felt letting an NCAA Tournament bid slip through their hands.

A loss at Dartmouth and then against Harvard in Philly cost them the Ivy League title last season.

“I mean, obviously it comes back to haunt you and those feelings come up about a major loss and not making the NCAA Tournament,” said senior guard Jack Montague. “Ultimately, it feeds us and now we’re hungry. Now, we’re focused and prepared, and we’re ready to win.”
