(WTNH)–East Haven hockey coach Lou Pane has been behind the Yellow Jacket bench for 30 years. He’s made the playoffs every year.
With two more wins in their next four games, the Easties will qualify for the postseason yet again. It would also give Pane 400 victories for his career.
“It means I’m getting a lot older,” Pane said, laughing. “You know, I’ve had some great kids through the years. They work hard, including this team here.”
“Credit to him. He’s been doing it for a long time, he knows a lot of stuff,” said East Haven captain Joe D’Albero. “He’s had great seasons, won the state title, he’s been through it all.”
“After everything he’s done for us, coming here every day, taking time out of his day to come here and help us get better, we really want to get him these two wins,” D’Albero said.
East Haven just earned its best win of the year on Wednesday night over Hamden. They’ll visit North Branford on Sunday.
