No. 1 Quinnipiac won’t be satisfied without Frozen Four trip

(WTNH)–They’ve played 32 games so far, and lost just twice. We’d say that’s a pretty good year. But something tells us the Np. 1-ranked Quinnipiac hockey team won’t be satisfied unless it makes another run to the Frozen Four this spring.

Head coach Rand Pecknold thinks his team was playing its best hockey in November, but that doesn’t mean he thinks they’re not playing well right now.

Games have gotten a little tighter–a lot of one-goal differences and overtime games, and Pecknold would like to see his team score some goals a little bit earlier in games. But he says, part of that has to do with everyone wanting a piece of the top-ranked ‘Cats.
