Notre Dame hockey player Doug Caliendo talks about emotional game-winning goal

(WTNH)–It will be one of the most powerful sports stories of the year. Not just in Connecticut, but anywhere in the sporting universe.

Notre Dame of West Haven hockey player Doug Caliendo inspired millions when he scored a game-winning goal in overtime on the same day his father, Lou passed away from cancer. Since that game on February 3, Caliendo has been on a roller coaster of emotions. It’s been theraputic for him and his family.

The outpouring of support started on the local level and exploded to the national level, once the video went viral.

Doug joined us in studio to talk about his roller-coaster ride.
