Quinnipiac hockey honors its record-breaking senior class

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)–A big weekend of hockey games await the top-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats. No. 1 QU hosts No. 7 Yale on Saturday, in a game all of the students always get fired up for.

First though, Rand Pecknold’s team has to deal with Brown, on Friday night.

It will be a special night up on the Hill in Hamden, as Quinnipiac will honor its senior class prior to puck drop. This class has accomplished a lot. As freshmen, they played for a national championship. They’ve also been to the NCAA Tournament every year, which is something not many programs can say.

Goalie Michael Garteig is a senior. So is forward Travis St. Denis, two of the ‘Cats best all-time players.
