Yale reacts to NCAA Tournament selection; they’ll play Baylor in Providence Thursday

News 8 was with the Yale men’s basketball team at their Selection Sunday party, as they found out where, when and who they’d play in the NCAA Tournament.

It was a special day on the Yale campus, as the Bulldogs found themselves in the bracket for the first time in 54 years.

“My whole life I’ve watched the selection show and filled out brackets and now, when you’re actually a part of it, it’s a feeling I can’t even express,” said head coach James Jones.

“I’m getting text messages on my phone right now,” said forward Justin Sears. “They saw me on TV, dancing, having a good time. It’s a great moment for Yale basketball, but at the same time, we’re not done here.”
