(WTNH)–Corey Clifton, younger brother of Quinnipiac hockey stars Connor and Tim Clifton, announced Friday night that he’s heading to Hamden, too.
The 5-6, 150-pound forward announced his committment to the Bobcats on Twitter:
I’m proud to announce my commitment to play college hockey at Quinnipiac University! Thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way!!

They’re going to be like the Plumlee brothers of hockey.
The Matawan, NJ native is a high school junior, and played for the NJ Avalance U18 team last season. Corey’s older brothers are both juniors at Quinnipiac, so they’ll never get to play together. Still, they can root on their little bro once they graduate and move on.
Connor, a defenseman, put up 16 points in 32 games with the Bobcats this past season. Tim scored 15 goals and had 18 assists (33 points) in 28 games.
Quinnipiac reached the NCAA championship game for the second time in school history.
