(WTNH)–Donald Brown is happy to be back close to home. The former record-breaking UConn running back signed with the Patriots last month. Brown will be entering his eighth NFL season. He split time so far between Indianapolis and San Diego.
A former first-round pick in 2009, Brown will compete for the backup job in New England, and he gets to play behind another great quarterback.
“I’ve had the good fortune of playing with phenomenal quarterbacks–Peyton, Andrew Luck, Philip Rivers and now Tom Brady. I’m playing with the best of the best, so they all demand a lot, and that’s what I’m about,” Brown said. “I’m here to help any way that I can.”
Brown has racked up 4,000 career yards so far and 20 touchdowns.
It’s nice to see the former Husky playing close to home.
