Hamden baseball continues best start since ’95 with 5-4 win over Shelton

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH)–Hamden High School baseball is having its best year since 1995. The Green Dragons have pitched their way right into the state’s Top 10 rankings. Now ranked 6th, they’ve got just two losses on the season.

One of those losses came at the hands of Shelton, and the Gaels were back in Hamden on Wednesday afternoon looking for the season sweep. Shelton took an early lead, but Hamden fought back, and ended up winning on a walk-off single by Ron Grant.

5-4 was the final score.
