Nostalgic night for North Haven baseball as Indians honor past champions

(WTNH)– North Haven baseball coach Bob DeMayo has won five championships over his long tenure with the Indians. On Wednesday night, members off all five teams were back on the diamond to celebrate.

Players from 1975, 1982, 1985, 2003 and 2015 got together before the game to celebrate the success of the program before their 10-9 win over Guilford.

DeMayo said the game was a real stroll down memory lane.

“I wish I could put a uniform on half of them,” he said. “They were phenomenal, just phenomenal. A great honor for me, and I’m glad to see all of them.”

“What the coach did for this community and all the players here, not only was he a baseball coach, but he was a mentor to everybody,”said Bob DePalma, a member of the 1982 championship team.
