Sun rookie Jamie Weisner says Connecticut was like foreign country to her

(WTNH)–The WNBA season gets started on Saturday for the Connecticut Sun. The team looked good in the preseason, winning all three of its games.

All of the parts seem to be working in rhythm under first year head coach Curt Miller. One player looking to make an impression is rookie Jamie Weisner. She just finished up her college career at Oregon State, which lost to UConn in the Final Four.

Until she was drafted, Connecticut was like a foreign country to her.

“The furthest east I think I’ve been is probably Indianapolis, so I haven’t been that far at all,” she said. “I haven’t been that far at all.”
