(WTNH)–Daniel Hand of Madison entered the SCC girls’ lacrosse title game with eyes on a second-straight crown. To get it, they’d have to go through Cheshire.
The Rams took control early, jumping out to a 5-1 lead after a goal from Brooke Jackson.
Jackson would add another in the second half, and Cheshire jumped out to a 9-5 lead. But Hand would come back, tying the game up with less than a minute left on a goal by Cameron Ruberti.
We went to overtime all tied at 10, and that’s where Hand took over. Taylor Scully notched the clincher, scoring with just three seconds left on the clock.
Hand wins, 11-10.
