Cheshire, Amity get ready for what could be classic state title game

(WTNH)–On Friday night, two high school softball championships will be decided. (Check out highlights right here, and on News 8 at 10 and 11). Fitch and Masuk play, as do Seymour and Rocky Hill.

On Saturday, Cheshire takes on Amity for the Class LL title. It will be the fourth time this season the two schools will meet. The Rams have won all three matchups. Cheshire beat NFA to get back to the title game. Amity beat three-time defending champion Southington.

This game should be a classic.

“We’re really just two great teams that go at it and battle, and that is what softball is all about,” said Cheshire head coach Kristine Drust.
