(WTNH)–The Connecticut Open, the state’s professional tennis tournament, begins this weekend.
When the players arrive in New Haven, they’re sure to be impressed. The Players Center at the Connecticut Tennis Center has undergone a huge facelift. The upgrades include a permanent gym for the players, revamped training and massage space, plus new locker rooms, lounge and dining area.
It’s the first major renevation to the 25-year-old stadium infastructure.
Main draw play starts Sunday, with many of the world’s top players set to compete.
