Connecticut Open begins with 21 Olympians in field

(WTNH)–Whoever wins the Connecticut Open tennis tournament this year will not have an easy road. Tournament director Anne Worcester says this is the best field she’s had since 2003.

On Friday, they constructed the main draw, with the help of pro Genie Bouchard, and the kids from New Hytes Tennis in New Haven.

The top seed in the field is Aggie Radwanska. She could have a potential second-round matchup with Caroline Wozniacki, who is one of her closest friends.

The field includes 21 Olympians, with the addition of Bouchard.
