(WTNH)–Tony Reno’s team got back out on the field on Friday afternoon for Yale football’s first practice of training camp.
The Bulldogs finished 6-4 in 2015. They were ranked fourth in the preseason Ivy League poll. Reno says he’s not worried about preseason polls. He just wants his guys to be ready to go.
Yale brings back a lot of talent. They have difference makers on both sides of the ball. Last year, injuries really hurt Yale, and Reno says they have to be mindful of that both in camp and going forward.
“We analyzed what we were doing and made some changes, especially in sports performance. Training our guys, conditioing our guys, rehabilitation, flexibility, nutrition. That was a huge push for us,” Reno said.
“We felt that we needed to make a big change in that area. We did we’ve seen some gains from it, obivously nothing is perfect. It takes a while to really build something but we feel we made a big mark in that area.”
