Radwanska and Kvitova to meet again at the CT Open

Johanna Larsson's magic run continues

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)- They will meet again. Agnieszka Radwanska and Petra Kvitova. This time in the semi-finals of the Connecticut Open. Last year, Kvitova knocked off Radwanska in the quarter-finals of New Haven on way to her third CT Open title.

Radwanska advanced to the Final Four in New Haven with a straight set win over lucky loser Kirsten Flipkens, 6-1, 6-4.

Meanwhile, Kvitova eliminated Ekaterina Makarova in two sets, 6-3, 6-1. The quarter-final win is Kvitova’s second consecutive over Makarova, who she also beat at the Olympic games in Rio. Makarova won the first two meetings of the year between the two, including an upset win at Wimbledon.

Radwanska and Kvitova will play Friday night a 7pm.

Lucky Loser Johanna Larsson and Elina Svitolina will meet in the other semi-final match-up, which begins at 1pm Friday on Stadium Court
