(WTNH)–The UConn football team kicks off the 2016 season on Thursday night at Rentschler Field, as the Huskies will host Maine.
Junior quarterback Bryant Shirreffs will try and lead this offense to bigger things this season. They haven’t had great quarterback play since Dan Orlovsky was under center.
Shirreffs says he’s been working hard this offseason–so busy that he hasn’t had time to visit a barber.
“The hair? My hair’s been growing a lot faster. I haven’t cut my hair since I got a concussion. For no reason, but I just remember that. I might need more hair because who knows it might be a colder winter. Gotta stay warm.”
How about that, huh? He gave us the old “staying warm in the winter” line. Not buying it.
Practicing the past month in this heat with that hair can’t be fun.
