Quinnipiac soccer thriving, even with 17 freshmen

(WTNH)–The Quinnipiac men’s soccer team is basically learning on the job. They’ve got 17 freshmen, but so far the process has gone well. The Bobcats are coming off of a big 2-0 win over rival Yale on Wednesday, in which one of their many freshmen, Eamon Whelan, scored both goals.

They also have a freshman goalie.

Head coach Eric DeCosta has been with the program for 12 years. He’s the longest-tenured coach in program history. DeCosta is doing more teaching than normal, but he says his home life has prepped him for it.
