Trinity College hosting Pan-Am Squash Championships

(WTNH)–What a thrill for the folks at Trinity College this week. For the next few days, they’ll be hosting the Pan-Am Squash Championships. 16 teams from all around the world are in Hartford for the event. The games have never been played in the United States.

Trinity, of course, knows a thing or two about squash. Bantams head coach and new Hall of Famer Paul Assaiante has won 15 national championships, and he’s coaching the American team.

Monday night was the beginning of quarterfinal action. If you’ve never seen squash in person, go check it out. It’s kind of neat. The championships run through Saturday. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
