(WTNH)–The Yale football team will try to turn its season around with a new quarterback. Sophomore Tre Moore will start Saturday at the Yale Bowl against a good Lehigh team.
Moore must be excited–he was the first one on the practice field on Monday night. Yale head coach Tony Reno says Moore is a dual-threat quarterback with a big arm and the ability to run as well.
The sophomore has had to wait his turn, but he’s looking forward to getting his chance on Saturday.
“Everything in life worth getting is worth working hard for and earning,” said Moore. “We all work very hard for it and put in the time, and you know, this is just the beginning, and hopefully we will continue this the rest of the season.”
“Talent-wise, the sky’s the limit. We just have to keep developing it, and he’s a sophomore and made sophomore mistakes, but he’s a guy we can really build on,” said Reno.
Yale and Lehigh kick off at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Yale Bowl.
