Stephanie Ribiero leads UConn to 4-2 win over Tulsa in American Athletic opener

(WTNH)–The UConn women’s soccer program has been a model of consistency under head coach Len Tsantaris. Now in his 36th season, he’s led the Huskies to 27 NCAA Tournament appearances.

Connecticut is off to another great start this year, and opened conference play Thursday night against Tulsa.

UConn has one of the best players in the country in senior Stephanie Ribiero. It’s hard to score goals in soccer, but she’s making it look easy this year.

Ribiero scored two goals on Thursday. She’s now got 10 on the season. She also assisted on the Huskies’ two other goals.

UConn won again, 4-2.

The Huskies are 9-2 overall, and now 1-0 in the American.
