Morgan football ready to shine in our Game of the Week

CLINTON, Conn. (WTNH)–This has turned into probably the biggest game on the schedule for both schools. Morgan versus North Branford never disappoints. The Huskies and Thunderbirds have played some close ones over the years, including last season’s 40-37 comeback win that served as a catapault for a 9-2 Morgan season.

Morgan head coach Peter Nye is impressed that his team won Game of the Week honors.

“This game means a ton to our program, not only is it Game of the Week–I don’t know how you guys pulled that off–but people are coming here to see you,” the coach told his team during a meeting Friday. “Whatever it is you’re doing to the population in the school, they love you. Win or lose they love you. But we’re not here just to be loved, we’re here to win.”

Players were prepared for a packed house on Friday evening. The student body and community always comes out and shows tons of support for the Huskies.
