Gorilla Harambe will be honored by minor league hockey team

(WTNH) — While Harambe may be gone, it’s clear that the gorilla has not been forgotten. The sports world has made plenty of tributes, but the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL may have just topped everyone else.

On October 19th, the team will hear Harambe uniforms for what they are calling “Wildlife Week” and will be auctioning off the jerseys with proceeds going to the Jane Goodall Institute of Canada. The team wants people to use the hashtag: #HockeyForHarambe.

The club unveiled the uniforms and released this statement on twitter:
