(WTNH)–Every great team has an identity. For Yale men’s hockey, it’s been their defense.

The Bulldogs have a new group this season, and they’re a younger team, but they’re still trying to stay with their tradition of being a team that puts defense first.

Yale has a chance to do that this weekend against Colgate.

“We’re going to keep working on establishing our own identity and the past couple years we’ve been a solid defensive team, one of the best in the nation,” said Yale defenseman Adam Larkin. “I think we’re still really working on nailing that in as part of our identity but also we’d like to have an identity of being a goal scoring team and taking advantage of our opportunities and we need to do that against Colgate this weekend.”
